Single Line

$219.00      TeleHUB 400

Commercial Grade Product for the Interconnect Professional and System Integrator

1 Telephone Line
4 Device Ports

Designed exclusively for outbound calls.

ASAP TeleHUB 400 Photo

The ASAP TeleHUB 400 is a 4-port device designed exclusively for outbound calls, allowing connection of up to 4 separate telecommunication devices to a single telephone line. Virtually unlimited connection capacity can be obtained by linking two or more TeleHUB units in series or parallel. Provides unlimited and exclusive time on-line when a call is placed.

The TeleHUB 400 operates with linear switching which allows modems to operate at the maximum speed a particular connection permits. Products using non-linear switching may distort modem signals and cause them to operate at lower speeds. It also has enhanced telephone line surge protection, FCC Class B and a 3 year warranty.

Each device is allowed unlimited and exclusive connection time to the phone line. Any other device connected to the TeleHUB 400 attempting to access the line during a call will receive a busy tone until the original call is complete.

Features:
4-port connectivity
Exclusion between ports
Busy signal
LED on-line indicators
On-line extension protection

Commercial Multi-Line

This Multi-Line Sharing Switch (MLSS) allows a company to share the minimal quantity of telephone lines required to support the maximum number of industry standard telephone (IST) devices. An IST is any type of telecommunications device that works on a standard telephone company telephone line, such as: modems, fax machines, fax/modems, credit card terminals, etc. The MLSS can save a company hundreds to thousands of dollars per year in telephone costs and reoccurring monthly line charges.

Versatility

The versatility of the MLSS is evident in the many methods in which it can be installed

1. The MLSS can install directly onto previously dedicated telephone lines, enabling the customer to reduce the quantity of dedicated lines needed.

2. The MLSS can install directly onto voice lines in front of the telephone system, sharing these lines with devices that previously needed dedicated lines.

3. The MLSS can install directly onto a telephone system's industry standard (IST) extensions, thus sharing the voice lines and IST extensions with the telephone system.

We offer three versions of the MLSS. Two plug and play versions, which are factory preprogrammed for most applications - no programming, software or computer network required. The programmable MLSS models provide unlimited flexibility in call handling and call routing.

Networking multiple MLSS units together

These Multi-Line Sharing Switches can be networked together to provide additional IST device ports, telephone line ports or both. The preferred method of networking the MLSS units together will depend on the quantity of IST devices, the telephone line utilization and the application. If help is required understanding the concept of networking multiple MLSS units together, please review the following examples.

Example #1 – Providing Additional IST Device Ports

When an application requires more IST ports than one MLSS can provide, two or more MLSS units can be networked together to satisfy the demand for additional IST ports. This networking is accomplished by connecting IST ports on the 1st MLSS to the line ports on the 2nd MLSS. Providing more than one networking connection between the two MLSS units, will permit more than one IST device on the 2nd MLSS to simultaneously access the telephone lines on the 1st MLSS. 3i’s research on sharing telephone lines with datacom devices concluded a 3 to 1 ratio of devices to lines is typical. Your particular application may be different. The goal is to be able to provide dial tone and outbound call capability to all outbound IST devices, while maintaining inbound call availability for those applications and IST devices which require it.

Networking two 4x12 MLSS units together in this manner, will effectively create a 4 x 20 MLSS. Networking two 8 x 24 MLSS units together in this manner, creates an 8 x 40 MLSS, three 8 x 24s will create an 8 x 56 MLSS.

The Plug and Play MLSS: In the above example, IST devices on the 1st and the 2nd MLSS, will have equal outbound access to the four telephone lines since four (4) network links have been provided. For inbound calls on the Plug and Play incoming/outgoing MLSS, the four (4) telephone lines will ring the first four (4) IST ports on the 1st MLSS. All other IST ports (5-12) on the 1st MLSS and all IST ports (1-12) on the 2nd MLSS are for outbound calling only.

The Programmable MLSS: Due to the extremely flexible design, the programmable models allow full capability of outgoing and incoming calls. Outbound calls from any IST port on either MLSS can be programmed to access any or all of the four (4) telephone lines on the 1st MLSS, in any search order. Inbound call traffic is also extremely flexible, since programming allows direct connection to any IST port (or group of ports) on any networked Programmable MLSS. The MLSS can answer an incoming call and listen for CNG (fax) or DTMF (touch tones) and direct the call to the programmed CNG port/s or other port/s on the networked Programmable MLSS.

Example #2 – Providing Additional Line Ports and Device Ports

If the quantity of telephone lines and IST devices that are required for your application exceed the capacity of one MLSS, then two or more MLSS units can be “networked” together. In this application, to increase the MLSS capacity to handle the quantity of lines and device ports needed, connect one half of the telephone lines to the 1st MLSS and the other half of the telephone lines to the 2nd MLSS while leaving at least one Line port and one IST port open on each MLSS for networking. By connecting Line Port #1 on the 1st MLSS to the last IST port on the 2nd MLSS and by connecting Line Port #1 on the 2nd MLSS to the last IST port on the 1st MLSS, an outgoing call from any IST port can access the telephone lines on any networked MLSS.

Networking two MLSS units together in this manner will allow an IST device to search and gain access to an available telephone line connected to either MLSS. Networking two 4x12 MLSS units together by this method, will effectively create a 6 Line x 22 IST port MLSS. Networking two 8x24 MLSS units together will create a 14x46 MLSS, three 8 x 24s will create a 21 x 69 MLSS.

Plug and Play MLSS - In the above example, IST devices on the 1st and the 2nd MLSS will have equal outbound access to the three telephone lines on their own MLSS. The forth outbound call will be networked to the other MLSS and have access to those three telephone lines over the network link that is provided. For inbound calls (on the Plug and Play incoming/outgoing), the three telephone lines on each MLSS will ring the direct connect IST ports (2-4) on the same MLSS. All other IST ports (except network links) are for outbound calling only.

Programmable MLSS - Due to the extremely flexible design, the programmable models allow full capability of outgoing and incoming calls on all networked Programmable MLSS units. Outbound calls from an IST port on either MLSS can be programmed to access any or all lines, in any search order. By programming the network link on all networked MLSS units as the last line port in the outbound search order, any IST port has access to the telephone lines on the other networked MLSS units. Inbound call traffic is also extremely flexible, since programming allows direct connection to any IST port (or group of ports) on any networked Programmable MLSS. The MLSS can answer an incoming call and listen for CNG (fax) or DTMF (touch tones) to direct the call to the programmed CNG port/s or the ports on the networked Programmable MLSS units.
